According to intelligence sources cited by Sheba Intelligence, Houthi leader Abdul Malik al-Houthi recently held a confidential meeting with Abdul Reza Shahlai, who is widely believed to oversee the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps’ (IRGC) operations in Yemen. The meeting reportedly took place at a secure location in Saada Governorate.

The intelligence sources said al-Houthi described the current conflict as “Iran’s final battle in Yemen,” telling Shahlai that he believed he could be killed “at any moment” amid the intensifying military campaign.

According to the same sources, al-Houthi expressed growing concern over what he described as widespread security breaches within his organization. He reportedly warned that the suspected compromises could extend to members of his own personal protection detail, reflecting increasing anxiety over the reliability of his internal security network.

The sources further indicated that responsibility for securing several of al-Houthi’s secret compounds has recently been transferred to a foreign security unit operating under the supervision of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps. They described the move as a sign of declining confidence in existing local security arrangements and a growing reliance on personnel operating under direct IRGC oversight.

Latest Speech Reinforces Houthi Alignment with the “Axis of Resistance”
