Sheba Intelligence sources say additional IRGC officers and Hezbollah-linked specialists have arrived amid preparations focused on Marib, the western coast and Bab al-Mandab, and the Saudi border.

Intelligence sources told Sheba Intelligence that a newly arrived Iranian Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) officer has appeared in Sana’a, indicating that Tehran has reinforced its military advisory presence in Houthi-controlled Yemen.

The officer, known by the alias “Abu Mustafa,” was seen during a field visit to an operations facility associated with the Iranian Embassy in Sana’a, one day after senior IRGC commander Abdul Reza Shahlai met Houthi military leaders.

According to the sources, Abu Mustafa speaks Arabic with a Lebanese accent and is believed to have previously operated within IRGC networks linked to Lebanon. He appears to be in his forties, and the sources assess that this is likely his first assignment in Yemen.

The sources said his arrival was part of a broader movement involving IRGC officers and Hezbollah-linked specialists, intended to reinforce operational planning and technical support for the Houthis.

Flights and New Arrivals

The development coincides with indications that recent flights to Sana’a may have been used to move additional personnel and sensitive equipment.

Two Mahan Air flights previously drew scrutiny over the possible transfer of IRGC and Hezbollah-linked specialists, along with equipment related to missile and unmanned aerial systems.

Sheba Intelligence has also received information suggesting that a separate movement involving five aircraft arriving in Sana’a may have brought additional specialists and drone-related systems.

The identities of all passengers and the full nature of the cargo carried on these flights have not been independently verified.

Preparations for a Wider Escalation

Abu Mustafa’s appearance came shortly after Shahlai’s meetings with Houthi military commanders, which Sheba Intelligence previously reported were focused on preparations for what sources described as a “decisive battle.”

According to intelligence reporting, the preparations are centered on three main theaters: Marib and its energy infrastructure; the western coast, Mokha and Bab al-Mandab; and the Saudi border, where the threat of renewed missile and drone attacks remains persistent.

Sheba Intelligence previously reported that Shahlai discussed plans involving Marib’s oil-producing areas and the western coast toward Bab al-Mandab.

The latest developments suggest that Tehran may be reinforcing its operational and technical team in Yemen ahead of a broader phase of escalation involving Marib, the western coast, Bab al-Mandab, and the Saudi border.
