Yemen’s Dawn of Yemen Offensive Surpasses 22,574 Strikes as Government Forces Advance in Marib and Taiz
Yemeni military reports 1,326 new strikes, approximately 370 Houthi fighters neutralized, and dozens of military vehicles destroyed or disabled amid continued ground advances.
Yemen’s armed forces announced 1,326 precision strikes against Houthi positions over the past 24 hours as part of the ongoing Dawn of Yemen offensive, reporting further ground advances in Marib and Taiz.
According to the military spokesperson, the strikes targeted Houthi troop concentrations, military vehicles, fortifications, and firing positions, supporting coordinated ground operations across several fronts.
In the eastern sector of the front west of Marib, government forces reportedly expanded their offensive following intensive preparatory fire. Fighter aircraft and drones provided sustained support, striking Houthi movements, reinforcements, and firing positions to facilitate advances by assault units.
The military said simultaneous pressure along the southern and western fronts restricted the Houthis’ ability to maneuver, redeploy reserves, and reorganize defensive formations.
In Taiz, government forces, supported by local resistance fighters, reportedly captured several positions and recovered heavy weapons and military equipment. Air and ground strikes also targeted Houthi reinforcements and defensive positions.
According to preliminary military assessments, the latest operations neutralized approximately 370 Houthi fighters and destroyed or disabled dozens of military vehicles and other equipment.
The military maintained that all strikes were directed exclusively at legitimate military targets, following verification procedures and precautions intended to protect civilians and civilian infrastructure.
Background: More Than 22,574 Strikes Since October 4
The latest figures follow a series of military announcements documenting the intensity of operations since the launch of Dawn of Yemen on October 4.
On October 16, the Yemeni military reported that cumulative strikes had exceeded 21,248 since the offensive began.
Adding the latest 1,326 reported strikes brings the documented cumulative figure to more than 22,574 strikes, excluding any additional operations not reflected in the available military statements.
Recent military figures illustrate the continued intensity of the campaign:

Previous military statements also reported the destruction or disabling of more than 460 military vehicles and assets on October 14, over 150 on October 15, and more than 100 on October 16.
The figures suggest that government forces continue to rely heavily on coordinated airstrikes, drone operations, and artillery support to facilitate ground advances, particularly in Marib and Taiz.
The reported simultaneous pressure across multiple fronts also points to an effort to stretch Houthi defensive capabilities, disrupt reinforcement routes, and prevent the group from concentrating its reserves against advancing government forces.
The cumulative figure is based on the previously reported total through October 16 plus the latest announced operations. It does not include any intervening strikes for which separate figures were unavailable.
All operational figures and casualty estimates are attributed to the Yemeni military and have not been independently verified by Sheba Intelligence.
