The Yemeni army has made new advances in Marib and Al-Jawf governorates as part of the latest field movements under Operation “Dawn of Yemen,” expanding pressure on Houthi positions across several fronts.

In Marib, government forces advanced and took control of the center of Madghal District, while also making gains in the Al-Kassarah area, along the axis between Al-Dashmah Al-Hamra and Wadi Al-Suhayl.

In southern Marib, the army seized Al-Fulaihah and Qurun Al-Bur, before advancing toward Umm Rish military camp. The latest gains have tightened pressure on Houthi forces positioned around Jabal Al-Balaq Al-Sharqi, leaving their positions increasingly encircled from multiple directions.

In neighboring Al-Jawf Governorate, field sources said army forces advanced east of the provincial capital, Al-Hazm, reaching the Al-Mandar Mountains.

The developments are part of the broader Operation “Dawn of Yemen,” announced by the Yemeni leadership on October 5 with the stated objective of restoring state institutions and advancing toward Sana’a. The operation has coincided with military movements on several fronts.

On the western coast, government forces also announced the recapture of the strategic port city of Mocha on October 5 following heavy fighting with Houthi forces, as part of a wider advance that has also included movements around Dhubab and the Bab al-Mandab axis.
